Sample of an ANV 4th Bunting Issue

The 4th Bunting Issue Flag above was published in Gary Hendershott's Civil War collectibles publication (Little Rock, Arkansas: June 2003 #124). On a Civil War flag message board, it was stated that this was a "possible" flag of the 26th Mississippi. Later this flag was on display at a Gettysburg CW Show, and it was examined by Howard Madaus and Greg Biggs. It was determined by Madaus that this is not WD 289, the probable flag of the 26th. It can't even be determined if it was a captured flag. It can simply be stated that it is an unidentified flag, but a fine sample of what a 4th bunting issue actually looked like.
